The fees associated with each design service are only charged ONCE per photo, (or two merged photos), regardless of how many items you order! You can order multiple services for each photograph.
Our custom design services are what make us unique from other companies who offer custom photo gifts. With our design services, we take care of flaws and sizing for you, so you don’t have to worry about your photo being perfect or even being the right size for our products! We can even transform your photo into an impressionist work of art with our unique paint effect! You can request an emailed proof and request changes if there is something that you are not happy with - at NO extra charge! So you can rest assured that you will get exactly what you are hoping for. Photos come to us in different shapes and sizes. It is rare that we receive a photo that is the perfect fit for the product, so we usually have to do some cropping of the photo to fit the size and shape of the product. This can be tricky, particularly for heart shapes. Sometimes we even have to ADD background to a photo in order to see the whole subject of the photo. We do all this for NO extra charge! Be sure to let us know if you want extra cropping done to highlight a particular subject.add paint effect
Transform your photo into a work of art with our paint effect service! We can add a subtle oil-painting effect or a very dramatic impressionist design, or something in between, and we’ll enhance the color of the photo while we’re at it. Cluttered backgrounds, power lines, cars in the distance, people we don’t know behind us, can all ruin otherwise great pictures. We can work magic by removing some of these unwanted items. Just leave us detailed instructions on what you’d like removed or changed and we’ll be sure to send you a proof!merge two photos
Have a family photo, but Uncle George is noticeably missing? Have a separate photo of Uncle George? In most cases, we can add people to photos or merge two photos into one. This is by far the trickiest service to perform seamlessly, but we have had much success and will refund your money if we cannot perform this service to your liking. Our general rule of thumb for good photo reproduction is 200 dpi (dots per inch) for photos printed "as is". If dpi is foreign to you, you should know that cell phone pictures generally do not reproduce well printed as they are. The resolution tends to be pretty small. However, they will often times work great with our paint effect or on our small items, but not for large canvases without the paint effect. And don't worry! If we don't think a photograph will look great with our design services, we will let you know and refund your money!upload tips
upload tips:
Photos will not upload if they are larger than 7 MB or not in jpg or gif format, but don't worry! We can still process your photo via email. If it takes a long time for your photo to upload and then a message tells you that your cart is empty, it likely means that your photo is too large or the wrong format for the server. You can then email us your photo. Proceed with your order online, just check the "photo will be mailed" box and tell us that you are emailing the photo in the special instructions box. Please be sure your name is on your email, and we will match your emailed photo with your order!
For printing photos "as is", it is best if the photo has a resolution close to 200 ppi. If we are adding a paint effect to your photo, then the size and resolution of your photo is less important. Photos taken from cell phones do not work well when printed “as is”, but may work fine if you are having a paint effect added to the photo.
Photos can be uploaded, mailed or emailed. Mailed photos should be hard copies - no negatives or slides please, and will be returned with the order. If we think your photo will not come out as desired we will contact you to receive further instructions.
Please keep in mind that the photograph may be cropped to fit the product and that the colors will vary slightly from photo to end product.
