Custom Work:
Custom work is when a client hires Red Barn Artworks to redesign his/her photograph or take photographs for him/her and redesign them. Fees are charged for the time involved whether or not any products are purchased (see design fees and sitting fees). All resulting redesigned images are owned by Red Barn Artworks, not the client, and may not be reproduced in any way by the client without Red Barn Artworks written permission. However, to promote healthy client relations, it is agreed that Red Barn Artworks may not resell any work to the public that is created specifically for a client without that client’s permission. It is also agreed that any images created specifically for a client may only be used for Red Barn Artworks' marketing purposes with the client’s permission. Copyright use of certain custom images can be purchased by the client for marketing and special purposes.

Design Fee:
A Design Fee is charged by Red Barn Artworks to redesign a photograph that is supplied by the client.* The fee covers the time spent redesigning a single photograph with special design techniques in which Red Barn Artworks will provide proofs for the clients’ approval. The fee is due prior to work performed. The designs created are then owned by Red Barn Artworks and cannot be reproduced by the client without written approval. Copyright use of certain custom images can be purchased by the client for marketing and special purposes.

*Red Barn Artworks cannot redesign a copywritten photograph without the permission of the original producer of that image.
Sitting Fee:
A Sitting Fee is charged when Red Barn Artworks takes photographs of the subject chosen by the client. The fee covers the time involved to take the photographs and redesign them with special design techniques in which Red Barn Artworks will provide the client with a set number of proofs. The fee is due at the time of the sitting. The designs created are then owned by Red Barn Artworks and cannot be reproduced by the client without written approval. Copyright use of certain custom images can be purchased by the client for marketing and special purposes.

Copyright Use Purchase
All original art work is innately copyrighted for use by the artist and falls under original art work. When a client purchases a product with an image designed by Red Barn Artworks on that product, the client is purchasing a copy of that image, not the image itself. The original image copyright still belongs to Red Barn Artworks. If a client would like to use an image repeatedly for marketing purposes, he/she may purchase the copyright use to certain agreed-upon images for $100 per image. Once purchased, Red Barn Artworks will send that image to the client electronically and as a hard copy without her copyright signature. This image can be used by the client for advertising purposes but the client cannot profit directly from reselling the same image. The same image is still available for Red Barn Artworks to create products for the client that paid the fees for the original custom work. All products Red Barn Artworks creates with the image for which copyright use was purchased, will have Red Barn Artworks signature information on them. It is agreed that Red Barn Artworks may not resell any image to the public for which the client purchased copyright use without that client’s permission. It is also agreed that any images for which the client purchased copyright use, may only be used for Red Barn Artworks' marketing purposes with the client’s permission.
