… in your hearts and in the world for 2012 and beyond.

I have been actively seeking inner peace over the last few months and will continue my quest into the new year. I hope to share my journey with you in the near future. How do you find inner peace? I’d love to hear your stories. I’ve missed all my blogging friends and readers over the last few months and hope to be ready to jump back in with you all very soon. Please don’t give up on me!

  2. Best wishes to you for this starting 2012, Suerae!
    A few years ago I learned that inner peace was something you ought to find for yourself, inside of you. Before that I believed it was something you would get as a reward for well behaving or something. Best for me is to run just a bit very early in the morning, when all my loved ones are still sleeping. Inner peace arrives after the shower when I look at them and realize that everything is just all right.

    How do I find inner peace? By tuning out what others say I should be doing and listening to what I feel is best for me. It’s easy to be overtaken by all the “you shoulds” and “you shouldn’ts” in a world driven by social media. I applaud you for doing it and wish you hope and healing every step of the way! Susan

    Hi Suerae,

    I find inner peace at various times during my day and week. Often it is when I am gardening, reading a book, doing yoga, on a long flight, etc. It is usually when it is quiet, I am rested, and there is not pressure or deadlines weighing on me. The trick is to carry that into the rest of my day! Wishing you peace in 2012.

    Happy New Year and good luck in finding your inner peace. For me, it is relaxation and meditation that works out the best way for reaching a state of calmness and to be able to open my mind and actually see things in other aspects. This usually leads to a solution or at least just a “feeling” or a “hint” about what I should be doing.

      Hello Emilia and thank you for visiting! You know, in my quest for inner peace and for some relief from anxiety, I have started to do some guided meditation and I really do love it and find that it relaxes me. I also listen to affirmations, which I think are very powerful as well. I am also learning how to breathe with the meditation. All this has definitely improved my ability to manage difficult times and also open my mind as well. Wonderful advice – thank you so much. And I wish you peace in 2012! :)
