Hello Gustavo! Yes, my husband could teach other husbands a thing or two. We’ve been married 19 years and we still try not to take each other for granted.

That’s right… Beware the prickly pear! But it does taste good in a sauce with cactus fries! I should start keeping cactus around because I can’t grow anything either.

Got to watch out for the prickly pear. I have come to appreciate cacti. They seem to be one of the only plants I can keep alive.

Haha – Bryce, I had to laugh at your “hot, dry, and dead” comment! I live in a spectacularly beautiful state (NH) and have a lovely mountain view out my back window, but sometimes all I can see is cold (today is in the thirties already – I even have my wrist warmers on). It’s nice to see what we sometimes take for granted through another’s eyes. I think it helps us appreciate it that much more. And yes, I thought there was so much beauty in Arizona. It is so vastly different than where I am from. But, like the cold here, I can certainly understand how you might tire of the hot dry weather.

Great photos, as usual. I love the desert, maybe that’s because it is so different than New England. I used to love looking at the mountains all the time when I lived in TN, then I took them for granted when I lived there for 2 years. We sometimes overlook the beauty around us just because it is so familiar.
I do love the umbrella!

I take the desert for granted. Really good photos. It always makes me feel better when others see my home state as something beautiful instead of just dry, hot, and dead.
